Is Shoresh's Honey Kosher?

Since our Bela's Bees Raw Honey is 100% pure and raw, it is kosher and does not require kosher certification. Check out this letter from our friends at COR for more details.

Are Shoresh's products nut and peanut-free?

Our Bela's Bees Raw Honey is 100% pure and does not include any tree nuts or peanuts in the ingredients. Our honey is extracted and packaged biannually in a converted artists' studio onsite at Bela Farm.

Before and after extracting and packaging our Bela's Bees Raw Honey, the studio is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Everyone on our team wears face masks and latex-free gloves at all times while working to package our products.

While our products do not contain tree nuts or peanuts, and while our facility is thoroughly cleaned, we, unfortunately, cannot guarantee that no traces of these allergens have entered the facility at any point prior to Shoresh's use.

What are Shoresh Shuk's Health and Safety Protocols?

At Shoresh, we ensure that our raw honey, beeswax candles and salves, teas, and other products are made with love, care, and the highest quality of natural ingredients.

To ensure the health and safety of our community members and supporters, we adhere to strict guidelines when harvesting, packaging, handling, and selling our products. While this has always been the case for Shoresh, we have developed new protocols that are in line with the Canadian Federal Government, Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), as well as Health Canada's recommendations in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During our Honey Harvest at Bela Farm, we limit the number of volunteers to ensure that social distancing measures (2 metres/6 feet of distance) are adhered to. All staff and volunteers are required to wear PPE masks and latex-free gloves at all times and to use their own separate tools when working with our products. All work surfaces are disinfected hourly during the harvesting and jarring of our honey and teas.
